Thoroughbred horses
I am a horse fanatic, especially Thoroughbred horses. I started riding at the age of six, and finally got my horse, Minnie (Golden Alder) when I was twelve. I worked at a local barn for six years, just to ride, before I got my horse. She was off the "track" and so I had to re-school her. We had a lot of fun together, playing tag in the field or just lying down with her in her stall. She died when I was eighteen years old. A local vet had misdiagnosed her and she died from the misdiagnosis. I never did get another horse, although I had ridden on and off for many years. I miss her still.

I love to read, when I have time to read novels. I love espionage/spy/intrigue type books. I hated reading as a young child. I couldn't read for a long time. I had a visual perceptual difficulty. I didn't start loving reading until I was at university when I started reading novels to get my mind off of the text book readings.
Las Vegas
I love Las Vegas! My children love to go to Las Vegas as well. When I go with just my sister, we do big girl stuff. When I go with my children, we do "kid" stuff. My one rule when I take my children is that we are in our room by 10 pm. sharp. I hate seeing children out late at night. We also have friends who live near Las Vegas, so we stay with them for part of our trip.

I had my first trip to Las Vegas this past November. My husband was attending a conference so I went along. We stayed at Mandalay Bay Resort. I was on my own most of the time, did lots of sight seeing and shopping. Hope to go back again sometime with my twin sister. Jane J.
